KODC POLICIES

  1. Code of Conduct

    a. All members must treat each other with respect and courtesy.
    b. Discrimination, hate speech, and harassment of any kind are strictly prohibited.
    c. Use appropriate language and behavior at all times.
    d. Be inclusive and welcoming to new members.
     

  2. Communication Guidelines

    a. Keep discussions in appropriate channels.
    b. No spamming, excessive caps, or disruptive behavior in chats.
    c. Respect others' opinions and engage in constructive discussions.
    d. Use content warnings when discussing sensitive topics.
     

  3. Fair Play

    a. Cheating, hacking, and exploiting game mechanics are forbidden.
    b. Demonstrate good sportsmanship in all games and events.
    c. Report bugs or glitches to game moderators instead of exploiting them.
     

  4. Privacy and Security

    a. Do not share personal information of other members without consent.
    b. Protect your own account with strong passwords and two-factor authentication.
    c. Be cautious about sharing personal details in public channels.
     

  5. Content Sharing

    a. Obtain permission before streaming or recording gameplay involving other members.
    b. Respect copyright laws when sharing content.
    c. Keep shared content family-friendly and in line with community standards.
     

  6. Dispute Resolution

    a. Attempt to resolve conflicts directly and respectfully with the involved parties.
    b. If unable to resolve, contact a moderator for assistance.
    c. Use the official reporting system for rule violations.
     

  7. Moderation

    a. Moderators have the authority to enforce community policies.
    b. Decisions made by moderators should be respected.
    c. Moderator actions will be transparent and explained when possible.
     

  8. Age Restrictions

    a. Members must be 18+ to join the community.
     

  9. Community Events

    a. Follow all event-specific rules and guidelines.
    b. Be punctual and respectful to organizers and other participants.
    c. Notify organizers in advance if you can't attend an event you've signed up for.
     

  10. Rule Violations and Consequences

    a. First offense: Warning
    b. Second offense: 24-hour suspension
    c. Third offense: 1-week suspension
    d. Severe or repeated violations may result in a permanent ban
    e. Appeals can be made to the moderation team within 7 days of an action
     

  11. Account and Server Rules

    a. One account per person; alt accounts are not allowed.
    b. Do not share account credentials with others.
    c. Respect server resources and do not intentionally cause lag or crashes.
     

  12. Amendments

    a. These policies may be updated periodically.
    b. Major changes will be announced to the community.
    c. Members are responsible for staying informed about current policies.
     

  13. Neighborhood Community Policy:

    a. KODC does not discriminate against nor reject our members from communicating and gaming with members from other communities. As a KODC member, you ARE allowed to be in other communities, such as chats, discord, etc. BUT expected to uphold the privacy of KODC business.

    Discord Policy:

    a. All Members are to be in the Knights of Dawn Collective Discord Server, All Members are expected to operate ALL KODC business within the designated channels.
     

  14. KODC Leave of Absence (LOA) Policy

    Definition: A Leave of Absence (LOA) is a period during which a member is excused from their regular community participation and responsibilities. Requesting an LOA:

    • Members should request an LOA through [specify method: e.g., Discord message to moderators, forum post, etc.]

      • Provide the reason for the LOA and the expected duration

      • Give as much notice as possible before the LOA begins

    Duration:

    • Standard LOA: Up to 30 days

      • Extended LOA: 31-90 days (requires moderator approval)

      • LOAs exceeding 90 days will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis

    Member Status During LOA:

    • Members on LOA will retain their rank/status

      • They will be marked as "On Leave" on the member list

      • Members on LOA are not expected to participate in community events or activities

    Returning from LOA:

    • Members should notify moderators upon their return

      • If returning early, please give advance notice if possible

      • Members who do not return or communicate after their LOA period ends may be subject to rank demotion or removal from active member list.
